The Board of Education on March 15 voted to adopt an Instructional Calendar for 2023-2024 and to accept an offer from Child and Family Services to purchase Mullen Elementary School for $850,000. Mrs. Edholm-McNelis's Art students created an impressive collaborative mural of 8 inspirational women from history. The piece includes Ruby Bridges, Anne Frank, Malala Yousafai, Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and Georgia O'Keefe.

The Tonawanda City School District announces our 2023 Mental Health Parent/Community Series. These hour-long presentations are designed to create awareness, educate, and support important aspects of wellness, mental health, substance abuse, and community resources. These presentations are open to anyone in the Tonawanda Community. All are welcome to attend.
Our District continues to take thoughtful and purposeful steps in recognizing emerging trends, engaging in conversation, and offering awareness and support in these important areas. Please consider joining us.

The Tonawanda City School District buildings and offices will reopen on Wednesday, December 28 and Thursday, December 29. No instruction will be held on these days.
The District will be closed on Friday, December 30 through Monday, January 2, as scheduled, to observe the New Year holiday.
All school buildings will resume student instruction and scheduled activities on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

As meteorologists have forecasted a "once in a generation" storm and as a blizzard warning goes into effect at 7am tomorrow, the district will be closed on Friday, December 23, 2022, as we prioritize the safety and welfare of our students and staff.
Please note that tomorrow will be a traditional "snow day" and that no remote learning or instruction will take place.
