TITLE IX COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

A parent, student, or employee who wishes to complain of a violation of rights under Title IX may do so by written complaint, mailed or delivered, to the official named above. The complainants should complete and sign a form furnished by the district. The district shall interview the complainants within five working days after the receipt of the complaint. The complainant may produce witnesses and be accompanied by a representative.

SECTION 504

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a federal law designed to eliminate discrimination on the basis of disability.

Some students who do not require special education services may receive accommodations under Section 504 and ADA, consistent with the district’s policy. The Pupil Personnel Services Director serves as the district’s Section 504/ADA Coordinator.

If you believe your child may have a disability and requires accommodations to "level the playing field," please contact your child's building principal to arrange a parent conference to discuss your concerns. You may also call the PPS office directly at 716-694-7684 or 716-694-7687.
