Returning to the school district where she grew up has made teaching especially meaningful for Tonawanda Elementary School first-grade teacher Alexis Lilly.
A graduate of the Tonawanda City School District, Lilly is celebrating five years of teaching in the same community that helped shape her own childhood.
Lilly began her career at Mullen Elementary School, teaching fourth grade before transitioning to first grade. She enjoys watching her students learn, grow and gain confidence throughout the school year, and takes pride in giving back to the community she has always called home.
Tonawanda Elementary School Principal Robert Ross praised Lilly's dedication to her students and involvement in the school community, saying this: “She values the connection between home and school and works hard to create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment.”
Join me in congratulating Alexis Lilly on five years with the Tonawanda City School District!
Congratulations!
