Dear Parents/Caregivers,
We will be kicking off 2026 TNT Week on Monday, October 19th and concluding with our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 24th! This is always a fun and meaningful tradition that allows our students to display school pride, build community, and celebrate together in positive ways.
To ensure that Spirit Week is safe and enjoyable for everyone, we want to share a few important expectations:
Participation: Spirit Week activities are optional, but we encourage all students to join in with enthusiasm and creativity.
Appropriate Attire: Students are welcome to dress according to each daily theme but must still follow the school dress code. Costumes, props, or clothing that are offensive, disruptive, or unsafe are not permitted.
Safety: Students may not bring items that create safety hazards or interfere with the learning environment (such as full-body blow-up costumes, masks that cover the entire face, toy weapons, or items that block hallways).
Respect: Good sportsmanship and respect toward staff and peers across grade levels are expected at all times.
Academics First: While we are excited about the fun, classes and learning remain the priority. Normal attendance and participation in lessons are expected throughout the week.
Please also review the following rules for TNT Week events with your child:
Motorcade, Tuesday, October 20th, 2:00pm: All students taking part in the motorcade MUST attend a MANDATORY meeting with Mrs. Hoepfinger, Ms. Kutianski, Mrs. Todaro and Officer Washburn on October 7th after school to review all rules and expectations. Participating drivers MUST complete all paperwork due on Friday, October 16th by 3pm and be cleared by Officer Washburn before the event. There is only 1 other (non-silbing) student allowed in the vehicle of an approved student driver. Siblings are allowed to drive with a sibling driver with parental/caregiver permission as a second passenger. If a parent is driving, all students must have permission to ride in their vehicle. All students must follow traffic laws and City of Tonawanda Police Department directives before, during, and after the motorcade event. Students are NOT permitted to drive into North Tonawanda from the motorcade. If administration is notified that a Tonawanda student(s) went to North Tonawanda High School or the surrounding areas before or after the motorcade, they will not be allowed to participate in the rest of the TNT Week events and may face other disciplinary consequences.
Juniors Vs. Seniors Flag Football Game, Wednesday, October 21st, 5:00-6:00pm: All students participating in the game must have a completed permission slip by Friday, October 16th at 3pm or they will not be permitted on the field. This includes all players, cheerleaders and student coaches. All students must dress appropriately according to the TCSD Code of Conduct at all times during the event. All participants MUST complete the concussion protocol training.
TNT Varsity Football Game, Friday, October 23th, 6:00pm: The game is at North Tonawanda this year. You will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets through the athletics office. More information will be shared by Mr. Northrup soon.
TNT Homecoming Dance, Saturday, October 24th, 5:30-8:30pm: Students must have a dance ticket purchased prior to the event. Tickets will be sold in lunches starting October 5th through October 21st. There will be no re-entry to the homecoming dance once students leave for the night. Backpacks/large bags will not be permitted. Students may only carry small bags no larger than 5X7 inches.
We look forward to making TNT Week 2026 an engaging and spirited time for our school community.
