Families of Tonawanda's fall student-athletes are invited to attend Fall Athletic Family Night on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 5 p.m. in Miller Gym. The event provides families with important information for the upcoming season.
During the evening, families will be introduced to the Athletic Director, coaching staff and Athletic Trainer. The program will cover athletic eligibility requirements, attendance expectations, sportsmanship, transportation procedures, communication guidelines, and the online registration process through FinalForms. (LINK) Attendees will also learn about the state's new athletic placement testing process and concussion management protocols.
Athletic Trainer Melissa Donato will provide information about impact testing, injury management and return-to-play procedures for student-athletes.
Following the presentation, individual sports programs will hold meetings with athletes and families, allowing coaches to discuss season expectations and answer questions specific to each team.
