Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to inform you that the Tonawanda City School District has been able to secure an affordable Chromebook insurance option that will cover your child’s Chromebook device for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that students between the grades of 6-12 can purchase Chromebook insurance. If your child is between the grades of PreK-5, they will not need it.
Worth Ave. Group can provide replacement cost coverage and protect the Chromebook against accidental damage (cracked screens/liquid spills), vandalism, theft, fire, flood, natural disasters and power surge due to lightning strikes.
Purchasing insurance is an annual option and parents/guardians may choose between two different types of coverages (Full and Accidental). If you choose not to purchase insurance, please be advised that you are liable for any and all damages done to the Chromebook device while assigned to your child and are required to pay a $100 fee (including lost or stolen).
All claims will be handled by our school district once the insurance has been purchased directly from the Worth Ave. Group company. The policy term is from 09/01/2026 to 08/31/2027 and both coverage plans have a $0 deductible. There are two coverage options for purchase depending on your chromebook model:
Dell Chromebook
Full Coverage (includes theft) for $43.00
Accidental Damage Coverage for $31.00
Acer Chromebook
Full Coverage (includes theft) for $43.00
Accidental Damage Coverage for $31.00
The deadline to purchase coverage will be October 15th, 2026. To purchase please visit: https://gpo.worthavegroup.com/gpo/tonawandacsd OR visit our school district website for the directlink. You will need your child’s Student ID number which can be found on a report card, in the parent portal or by stopping into the main office of the school that your child attends. Worth Ave accepts; Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Paypal.
If you choose to NOT purchase coverage, you will continue to be liable for the $100 fee. If you have any further questions or concerns please contact, Dr. Trevor McCabe (716) 716-694-7688.
Thank you,
Dr. Trevor McCabe
