Tonawanda City School District is seeking substitute teachers and school hall monitors for the upcoming school year.
Substitute Teacher (per diem)
UN-CERTIFIED: $115.00 per day/ $125 per day after 30 days of work
CERTIFIED TEACHER IN NYS: $135.00 per day/ $155 per day after 30 days of work
Provide high-quality instruction and classroom management for students in grades K–12 by following lesson plans and maintaining a positive, orderly learning environment.
Implement district and building procedures, including attendance, student supervision, and behavior expectations, while ensuring student safety at all times.
Communicate effectively with students and staff, adapt to a variety of grade levels and content areas, and complete required documentation for the regular classroom teacher and administration.
School Hall Monitor
$17.50 per hour
Monitor hallways, entrances, and school grounds to maintain a safe, orderly, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Enforce school rules, student behavior expectations, and building access procedures, including checking passes and ensuring only authorized individuals are on campus.
Respond to safety and security incidents, promptly report concerns to administration, and assist with supervision during arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, and school events.
