Families across the Tonawanda City School District are invited to kick off the 2026-27 school year at the district's Meet the Pack Open House & Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This districtwide event will provide students and families with an opportunity to prepare for the start of the school year, connect with staff and learn about the many opportunities available throughout the district.
During the event, families can meet their child's teachers, explore school facilities and receive important information to help ensure a smooth transition into the new school year. Students will also have the opportunity to set up their lockers and drop off school supplies before the first day of classes.
In addition, families can learn about extracurricular opportunities and sign up for clubs, gather information about athletics programs and receive assistance with Parent Portal and Student Portal accounts.
Chromebook distribution will also take place during the event, helping ensure students have the tools they need for success when classes begin.
The district encourages all families to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with teachers, staff and fellow students before the start of the new school year.
