Congratulations written on maroon background with starts and a book

A Tonawanda first grader has earned well-deserved recognition for her creativity and storytelling talent.

Luna Brown was recently honored by PBS KIDS as part of its annual writers contest, an initiative that celebrates young authors and encourages children to share their original stories and ideas.

Although Luna completed her story at home, her achievement is a reflection of the passion, imagination and dedication our students bring to everything they do.

Luna’s story is featured in the PBS KIDS program, where she had the opportunity to read her work aloud. You can hear her presentation around the 16-minute mark of the video below. We are grateful to Luna’s mom for sharing the link and giving permission to celebrate this accomplishment with our school community.
