Tonawanda High School student-athletes are being recognized for excellence both on the stat sheet and in character.
Senior quarterback Cole Keleman recently set a new school record for career passing yards, finishing his career with 2,669 yards. The previous record of 2,071 yards was set in 2020 by Justin Mangold. Keleman’s achievement reflects years of dedication, leadership and commitment to the Tonawanda football program.
Tonawanda athletes were also honored for their sportsmanship this season. Derek Leiker was named Sportsmanship Player of the Year for soccer, while the Tonawanda boys soccer team earned Sportsmanship Team of the Year honors, recognizing their respect, teamwork and positive conduct on and off the field.
Congratulations to Cole and Derek! Together, these accomplishments highlight the strong values, hard work, and pride that define Tonawanda athletics.
