The day before winter break, Tonawanda High School turned up the holiday spirit with their annual square dance competition that had the entire gym buzzing with excitement. The event brought together teams of students who showcased not only their dancing skills but also their creativity through themed costumes.
Each team came dressed to impress, sporting coordinated outfits that reflected fun themes like Santa and the Grinch, the Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. The colorful costumes added an extra layer of energy and personality to the competition.
The contest kicked off with all teams on the floor, moving to the rhythm of traditional square dance calls. As the rounds progressed, judges narrowed down the field through elimination, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats.
