For Tonawanda High School Mathematics Teacher Al Zarcone, his love for teaching has been visible and deeply felt throughout more than 30 years in the district. It’s reflected in decades of commitment to his students, both in the classroom and on the soccer field, where he spent 14 years coaching.
Throughout his career, Zarcone has witnessed tremendous changes in education, from chalkboards to dry-erase boards, Smart Boards and now U-Teach boards. No matter how the tools evolved, his dedication to students has remained constant. In the words of Tonawanda High School Principal Lyndsey Todaro, “Through patience, dedication and genuine care, he inspires confidence and a love of math with a side of humor to keep them engaged!”
Known for always putting students first, Zarcone uses that commitment as a compass to guide his work and build meaningful connections in every setting.
Please join us in congratulating Zarcone for his unwavering service to his students and to the Tonawanda district.
