Like many graduates of the Tonawanda City School District, Tonawanda Elementary School special education teacher Sarah Lysek values the opportunity to teach in the place where she was once a student.
With 25 years behind her, Lysek works with the youngest learners in kindergarten through second grade. She takes time to understand each student’s needs and collaborates closely with staff and families.
Outside the classroom, Lysek is an active and engaged member of the school community. She’s always willing to lend a hand, lead initiatives and support school-wide events. Her positivity, teamwork and unwavering commitment to students make a lasting impact each day. One of her favorite ways to cheer on her students is by coaching Tonawanda’s Special Olympics track and field team.
Join me us thanking Sarah Lysek for her years of dedication to the district and students.
