With 20 years of teaching experience in the district, Tonawanda Elementary School fifth-grade teacher Melynda Rice has made an impact that extends far beyond the classroom walls.
As a proud Tonawanda alumna, Rice shares that she feels humbled to be part of the district’s legacy. Rice considers it a privilege to educate the children of our community and to collaborate with the exceptional educators who inspire her daily.
Rice is celebrated for her engaging activities, mentorship of colleagues and unwavering passion for education. According to TES Principal Rob Ross, “Her classroom is a place where curiosity, respect, and kindness thrive, thanks to her thoughtful lessons and strong relationships with students and families.”
