Looking back at 25 years of teaching in our district, Tonawanda High School Special Education Teacher Cheryl Zehler said she feels an immense sense of gratitude.
From students and their families to her colleagues, the people Zehler has encountered throughout her journey have profoundly shaped her life—leaving her with memories and relationships she truly treasures.
Over the years, Zehler has served in the Middle School, worked with K–1 students at the Elementary level, and currently supports students in credit recovery and the alternative program.
Zehler is known for her dedication supporting the unique needs of every student. In the words of THS Principal Lyndsey Todaro, “She also serves as an unwavering advocate for their students, building their confidence and helping them achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.”
Zehler said every day in the classroom reaffirms why she chose this path, and she is proud to have spent these meaningful years in Tonawanda.
Join us in congratulating her on this remarkable milestone!
