WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) leaders hosted the incoming sixth graders to Tonawanda Middle School this month.
Eighth-grade WEB leaders guided the students in team-building and ice-breaking activities and showed them around the Middle School earlier this month, preparing them for their first day next week.
WEB is a program that develops a mentoring relationship between eighth-grade leaders and incoming sixth graders.
The idea is to give the younger students a friendly face and know that someone will help them adjust to life in middle school. This is a year-long program and includes fun social events along with monthly lessons, led by the eighth-grade leaders, based around useful information regarding organization, responsibility, teamwork, and cooperation.
