Dear Parents/Caregivers,

We hope you are having a great summer! As the 2025–2026 school year begins, we are delighted to welcome you back to Tonawanda High School. In a few short weeks we will re-open our doors to returning and new students alike, ready to embark on another year of learning, growth, and achievement. Please join us for Meet the Pack Night on August 27th from 4:30-6:30pm to set up your child’s locker, review their schedule,  and meet their teachers. See flyer below for more information!

As we prepare for the  new school year, we want to review some reminders/updates:

  • Class Schedules: will be available on Monday, August 25th after we wrap up summer school.  Please remember that the drop date for all courses was June 30th, 2025.  For school supplies, your child should know the courses they requested in the Spring.  You can call their school counselor if you have any questions.  You can view the high school supply list here.

  • Lockers: All students have been assigned a new locker this year. We highly recommend students attend our Meet The Pack Night to become familiar with their new locker and locker location as all students will utilize their lockers this year.

  • Backpacks/bags: New this year, students may only carry small bags, such as small backpacks or drawstring bags, throughout the school day.  All carried bags must be stored in such a way that they do not block aisles, entrances, or exits at any time.  Full-size backpacks and large bags should be stored in student lockers during class periods.

  • Internet-enabled devices: NYS Law requires students to store all internet-enabled devices including but not limited to their cell phones, earbuds, headphones, smart watches, personal computers, except for their district-issued Chromebook, in their assigned locker for the entire school day.

    • Communication during the school day: Parents/caregivers may call the designated communication line for our middle/high school campus at 716-694-7673 or email tmhsformychild@tonacsd.org.  The office staff can relay messages to the student or call the student to the office to speak with their parent/caregiver.

    • Written Notes: Parents/caregivers can drop off written notes at the security office at Door 3, which can then be delivered to the student by school staff.

We ask all families to review these expectations with your child(ren).  During Meet the Pack Night on August 27th from 4:30-6:30pm, we will be available for any questions.  If you have questions before then, please contact the main office at 716-694-7670.  Thank you for your partnership as we work together to support our students’ learning and well-being.

Sincerely,

Lyndsey Todaro, Principal
Renee Smith, Assistant Principal
