For the last five years, Irene Thomasula has supported the elementary students in Tonawanda City School District in a variety of ways.
In her role as a teacher assistant, she works with third, fourth and fifth graders in a self-contained classroom helping students with reading, writing and math. She also joins the students at specials.
According to Tonawanda Elementary School Principal, Rob Ross, Irene is a strong support for the teachers she works with and is “an integral part of the work in the classroom.” Irene says that she really enjoys her classroom and the students.
