Join us Friday, November 3, as Tonawanda Elementary students lace up their sneakers for this year's Turkey Trot/Harvest Walk.
Children in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th will begin with a stretching routine in the bus loop at Gibson Street at 9:15 a.m. for the Turkey Trot. The 2nd and 3rd graders will participate in a 3/4-mile long road race, while the 4th and 5th graders will participate in a one-mile road race. They'll end at the Tonawanda High School track.
As part of the Harvest Walk, pre–K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade will walk over to the finish area to be a cheering section for the Turkey Trotters.
The race will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme inclement weather, it will be postponed.
Families are invited to cheer the children on at the finish line.
