The Reflections program is back for another year and students have from now until October 31 to participate.

The Tonawanda CSD PTA is proud to take part in the Reflections program through the National PTA. The over 50-year-old program gives students the opportunity to create original works of art in a student-selected theme. Each year, over 300 students in pre-K through grade 12 participate. They have the freedom to create a piece of art shaped by their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas in any of the following categories:

Film production
Music composition
Visual arts
Dance choreography
Literature
Photography

Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade:

Primary: Pre-K – Grade 2
Intermediate: Grades 3 – 5
Middle School: Grades 6 – 8
High School: Grades 9 – 12
Special Artist: All grades welcome*

To enter a work of art for recognition, students can submit their project and application at school. Elementary students will receive information and the application in their classrooms, while the middle and high school students can pick up in the office.

*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
