Music is more than just a subject in Maria Mastroianni’s classroom. It’s something she hopes her students will appreciate long after they leave elementary school.
Mastroianni recently marked a decade with the Tonawanda City School District, where she teaches general music to kindergarten through second-grade students and leads the fourth-grade chorus at Tonawanda Elementary School.
She says she enjoys finding creative ways to introduce children to music and helping them develop skills that go beyond the classroom. Mastroianni says she is also grateful for the colleagues and school community who have made Tonawanda such a special place to spend much of her teaching career.
Tonawanda Elementary School Principal Robert Ross recognizes the impact she has on her students, saying she provides them with opportunities to “explore music, showcase their talents and build confidence.”
Join us in congratulating Mastroianni on a decade of serving the students in our district.
Congratulations!
