The deadline is approaching to nominate an outstanding Tonawanda High School graduate for the Distinguished Alumni Class of 2027.
Since its creation in 2001, the Distinguished Alumni Award has recognized Tonawanda High School graduates who have gone above and beyond in their professional and personal lives, making a positive impact on their professions, communities and the lives of others. Recipients serve as role models whose achievements reflect the excellence of Tonawanda schools and inspire future generations of students.
Eligible nominees must have graduated from Tonawanda High School at least 10 years prior to nomination. Candidates may be living or deceased and should have demonstrated distinction in a field such as government, science, education, community service, medicine, literature, law, religion, music, civil service or another noteworthy endeavor.
Honorees are permanently recognized with photo plaques displayed on the back wall of the Distinguished Alumni Auditorium in the Middle/High School complex.
The nomination deadline is Oct. 30, 2026.
