The Tonawanda High School girls volleyball team is inviting the community to support its athletes during a car wash and can drive fundraiser on August 29.
The fundraiser will be held at Frank's Mr. Plumber, 2080 Military Road, where team members will wash cars and collect returnable cans to help support the volleyball program.
Community members can drop off cans at the event or bring them to Tin Can Alley, 380 Hinds St., and place them under the Tonawanda High School girls volleyball account. For those unable to transport cans, the team is also offering pickup service. Residents can arrange a pickup by texting 716-308-8884.
Every donation helps provide resources for student-athletes while supporting the growth of the volleyball program. The volleyball team encourages residents, families and local businesses to stop by, bring their cans and help make the fundraiser a success.
