Summer construction is well underway as the district continues work on the Tona2024 Middle/High School Infrastructure and Enhancement Capital Improvement Project. From new entrance signage to athletic facility upgrades, progress is already visible just days into the project.
One of the most noticeable changes for families will be the installation of new door numbering and entrance graphics at the Middle School and High School. These updates are designed to make navigating the campus easier and improve wayfinding for students, staff, visitors and emergency responders.
For quick reference, the new door designations will be:
Main Entrance/Security Entrance: Door #1
District Offices: Door #9
Delivery Entrance: Door #12
Athletic Entrance (Main Parking Lot/Teacher Parking Doors): Door #29
Summer School Entrance: Door #6

Meanwhile, significant progress is being made on the district's synthetic turf field replacement project. Just two days into construction, crews had already removed the existing turf surface. Over the coming weeks, the turf pad will be inspected, and any worn sections will be replaced. New goal posts will also be installed, and the field's overall levelness will be evaluated and adjusted as needed before the new turf is put in place.
Visitors to campus may also notice temporary construction walls in several hallways and open ceilings in portions of the middle school. These areas are part of ongoing building improvements occurring throughout the summer months.
Work has also begun on upgrades to the auditorium's stage rigging system, another important investment that will support future student performances and events.
We appreciate our community's patience as these improvements take shape and look forward to sharing additional updates throughout the summer. These projects represent the district's continued commitment to maintaining safe, modern and welcoming facilities for students, staff and visitors.
Stay tuned for more capital project updates as work progresses.
