On Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Tonawanda City School District wants to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the City of Tonawanda Police Department and to the School Resource Officers who serve in our schools, Officer Jason Balling, Officer Frank Washburn and Officer Amanda Butcher, substitute SRO. Their presence, professionalism and daily commitment help ensure that every student and staff member learns and works in a safe, welcoming environment.
Our partnership with local law enforcement is rooted in shared values: safety, trust, and respect. Each day, our SRO's work to build relationships with our students and staff, fostering a positive school climate. We're grateful for their steady partnership and the sense of security they bring to our campuses.
We also recognize and thank the many other district staff members who have served in law enforcement. We appreciate every one of them for their service and dedication.
