Students parade through hallways.

In true Thanksgiving spirit, Tonawanda Elementary School brought a burst of color, creativity, and imagination to the hallways of the district this week! After reading Balloons Over Broadway students put their learning into action by designing and constructing their very own parade balloons.

Inspired by the book’s themes of innovation and problem-solving, students worked to plan, sketch and decorate a unique balloon. The final creations showcased everything from beloved characters to clever original designs, reflecting the creativity of each student.

To celebrate their hard work, Tonawanda Elementary students proudly marched their balloon masterpieces through Tonawanda Middle and High School, parading through hallways lined with cheering teachers and students. The district-wide parade not only highlighted student learning, but also connected schools together in a joyful kickoff to the Thanksgiving holiday.

A big round of applause to our elementary students for carrying on the parade magic right here in Tonawanda!
