Tonawanda's Best Buddies program shined as students took part in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk at KeyBank Center on Sunday.

In addition to a morning of friendship, Tonawanda's team received a pair of fundraising awards in its second year participating in the event. Tonawanda finished as the top fundraising school team, and Middle School student Aidan Bailey-Priest was the top individual fundraiser.

The day also included a special tour of the arena from a parent of one of the student team members.

The event, in place since 2009, has been the leading event in the country raising funds and awareness for the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Thank you to all of our members of Tonawanda Best Buddies for making this an incredible day, and a special thank you to all of the community members who sponsored program members for the event.
