    Monday: 9/30 - Hands on with the balances today!  Students estimated the mass of four items and then measured the actual mass to see how close the estimates were.  No new notes today.  No homework tonight.
     
    Tuesday: 10/1 - New notes!  The topic today is DENSITY.  Click HERE for a copy of the notes from class today.  The homework is a worksheet on calculating density.  There are 6 calculations - boys complete the ODD numbers/girls complete the EVEN numbers.

    Wednesday:  10/2 - We continued in our notes with Time, Temperature, Advantages of SI and Disadvantages of SI.  Click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  There is no homework for science tonight.
     
    Thursday: 10/3 - Graphing is the topic today.  Click  for a copy of the notes from class.  There is a worksheet for homework.  Click HERE for a copy of the Graphing worksheet.  (some students completed the homework at the end of class today)
     
    Friday:  10/4 -  Getting ready for the test on Wednesday.  We reviewed the calculations.  Click HERE for a copy of the practice worksheet from class.  Students worked on the vocabulary study buddy in class. Any terms not finished in class should be completed over the weekend and students should use the study buddy for start reviewing for the test on Wednesday.  Click HERE for a copy of the study buddy worksheet.

    Monday: 9/23 - We are continuing to practice SI (metric) conversions.  Click HERE for a copy of the worksheet completed in class.  Click HERE for a copy of the worksheet that is assigned for homework.  There will be a 10 point quiz on Wednesday - know the numerical value of the 6 prefixes and there will be four metric conversions.
     
    Tuesday: 9/24 - Today students went over the answers to the test from last week and went over the answers to last night's homework assignment.  The homework for tonight is to prepare for a short 10 point quiz on the metric prefixes and metric conversions.
     
    Wednesday:  9/25 - Today's topic is length.  Click HERE for a copy of the notes from class.  We practiced measuring using meters.  There is no homework tonight.
     
    Thursday: 9/26 - The topic today is volume.  Click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  The homework is to complete 4 volume calculations.  Click HERE for a copy of the homework,
     
    Friday:  9/27 -  We talked about mass today.  Click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  We had a little bit of time to pracitce using the balances.  We will have more use with the balances on Monday.  No homework this weekend.

    Monday: 9/16 - Today in class students made a study buddy to review the vocabulary that will be on the test on Wednesday.  Students who didn't complete the study buddy during class need to finish the worksheet for homework.  Click HERE for a copy of the study buddy sheet.  Use the study buddy to study vocabulary.  There is a link of google classroom to review the vocabulary on your chromebook.
     
    Tuesday: 9/17 - Another day of review for the test tomorrow.  We will complete a review sheet in class.  Click HERE for a copy of the review sheet.  Students should use thier study buddy, review sheet, quiz, Methods of Science worksheet, and notes to study for the test. 
     
    Wednesday:  9/18 - Test Day!  There is not assigned homework for tonight.  However, there is an optional extra credit assignment on my google classroom that students can turn in tomorrow.
     
    Thursday: 9/19 - New notes today.  We are moving on to part 2 of The Nature of Science.  Click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  There is no homework from today's lesson.  However, I have extended the due date for yesterday's extra credit assignment.  Any student who still wants to do the google classroom assignment for extra points on the test can turn it in tomorrow.
     
    Friday:  9/20 - We spent classtime today on SI (metric) conversions.  This is a review from 6th grade.  Click HERE for a copy of the notes from class today.  There will be a quiz on SI (metric) conversions next Wednesday.  There is a link to review the prefixes and units on google classroom.

    Tuesday: 9/10 - More notes today - click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  The homework for tonight is to study for the quiz.  The questions on the quiz are from pages 1 and 2 of the notes. (The new notes from today will not be on the quiz)
     
    Wednesday:  9/11 - No new notes today.  We practiced the concepts from class yesterday.  We started a worksheet in class and tonight's homework is to finish all 4 examples, if it wasn't completed during class.  Click HERE for a copy of the worksheet
     
    Thursday: 9/12 - Short classes due to Warrior Way kickoff.  We reviewed parts of an experiment.  No new notes, no homework.
     
    Friday:  9/13 - We completed the notes for The Nature of Science - part 1.  Click HERE for a copy of today's notes.  There will be a test on all of the material from this notepack on Wednesday.  Students should study the notes this weekend.
