  • WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GRADES 3-8 STATE TESTS

    The New York State Education Department has released a handout for parents detailing important information about the 2018 grades 3-8 state assessments in English language arts and mathematics.

  • PETITIONS FOR SCHOOL BOARD SEATS NOW AVAILABLE

    Board petitions are now available for anyone interested in running for the Tonawanda City School District Board of Education.

    There will be two openings on the board for the May 15, 2018 election. Members will serve a three-year term commencing July 1, 2018 and expiring June 30, 2021. Petitions are available at the board office located at 100 Hinds St. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

    Petitions must be signed by at least 100 eligible/qualified voters. Completed petitions must be filed with the board clerk by 5 p.m. on April 25. You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the district for one school year prior to the election and able to read and write.

    Tonawanda MS/HS's new online newspaper/news site can be found at tribetribune.org. Students create the morning announcements, write stories about events and people in the District, and create videos for entertainment. The site will be the source for all student information regarding THS (birthdays, lunch menus, upcoming events, etc).
