Tonawanda's District Nutrition and Wellness Committee is forming.  The committee is responsible for assessing current activities, programs, and policies available in the district that promote and protect student health and well-being.  It recommends district goals relating to nutrition education, physical activity, and other school-based activities.
 
The committee will meet every other month in the evening to take into consideration those who do not work in the district.   
 
Representatives are needed from the following groups of people:
a. Parents (1 or 2)
b. Students (1 or 2)
c. The District's Food Service Program (1 or 2)
d. The School Board (1 or 2)
e. School Administrators (1 or 2)
f. Members of the community (1 or 2)
 
The Nutrition and Wellness Committee will meet on the following date:
Wednesday, Jan. 13 @ 6 p.m.
Tonawanda Middle School
600 Fletcher St., Tonawanda
Room 145 (Home & Careers Room)
