  • The Tonawanda City School District Board of Education has accepted the following results from the May 15, 2018 school budget vote and election:

    PROPOSITION ONE: 2018-2019 BUDGET OF $34,773,624

    YES VOTES: 280

    NO VOTES: 126

     

    PROPOSITION TWO: SALE OF FORMER CLINT SMALL STADIUM SITE, 313 MAIN ST., FOR $300,000

    YES VOTES: 375

    NO VOTES: 36

     

    CANDIDATES FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:

    MOST VOTES FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM: HEATHER STERNIN (339 votes)
    Begins July 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2021

    SECOND-MOST VOTES FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM: RENEE GILBERT (313 votes)
    Begins July 1, 2018 and ends June 30, 2021

    • Public Hearing in the Tonawanda High School Library Media Center (Not less than seven days, nor more than 14 days prior to budget vote)

    May 9, 2018 (Wednesday)

    • Mail School Budget Notice/Comprehensive Budget Review to all voters (after the budget hearing; no later than six days prior to the vote)

    May 15, 2018 (Tuesday) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • Annual Budget Vote: Tonawanda Middle School/High School Wellness Gym (Statewide voting date is the third Tuesday in May)
